Scorpio New Moon: The Cave Beckons

The cave you fear

to enter holds

the treasure you seek.

Fear of the unknown

is our greatest fear. ...

It is by going down

into the abyss

that we recover

the treasures of life.

Joseph Campbell

The New Moon on November 20, 2025, at 20° Scorpio

The life we seek is not currently to be found in the light of day or out in the world. We are to welcome the dark time of the year, as the sun sets earlier and earlier, as a cue to go inward and to listen.

With seven planets and the North Node in water signs, we are to make room for our feelings, and not to minimize or avoid them. They may overwhelm, even tire us, but ultimately, they will carry us to new understandings that will assist us in embracing the changes that have been happening in our life and the world around us. There may be shocking revelations that wake us up to something pivotal that will help us to leave a previous version of our lives behind and provide the insight needed for how to prepare for the revolutionary new beginnings that will dawn in 2026.

Currently, the Epstein Files dominate the news. There is a shared collective projection fixated on the contents of these files as the treasure that must be brought into the light of day. Once the contents are revealed, it is believed that great wrongs can be righted, that justice can be enacted, and corruption can be addressed.

I offer that the focus on these files is comparable to the desire we each have for accessing the truths in our personal files hidden deep within our psyche. To access them may stir fear or strong desires, and yet we are needing to be stirred. Events, conversations, dreams or contemplation can open our personal files to us over the next weeks. The contents of what has been repressed or forgotten or never entertained can rock our world, transform and open us to more of ourselves.

We can hop on the bandwagon of the collective projection as the content of these files may indeed hold a key to the transformation of something important for society, but let's not do this at the expense of our own personal work and the shocking truths we need to engage that can help us to turn a corner so that our past, or what we have denied, can be resolved. We are supported to face old fears that inhibit or keep us small. There is great potential for new awarenesses that in turn spark new desires and insights that inspire future movement.

The New Moon is the optimal time each month to set an intention for what we want to see manifest over the next four weeks of the lunar cycle that is beginning. We are to plant this seed intention in the 24-hour window after the exact moment of the New Moon, when the Moon is still dark and not yet visible again in the night sky.

The house where 20° Scorpio is located in our natal charts shows us the area of life where deep shifts are taking place It is an area of life where we can expect to receive new awarenesses, experience intense feelings and desires for what we want to do next.

All it requires

is inviting your whole life in

and then letting it go

at the very same time,

so there is always room

for what comes next.

Scorpio season comes as the sun sets earlier and nights grow longer. New Moons occurs when the sky is darkest. The Scorpio New Moon arrives when nights are long and we fast approach the shorted day of the year. Darkness beckons. We are naturally drawn inward. If we are attuned to the season, we become quiet, less active, and more introspective. We listen deeply so we can hear the messages, the truths, the treasures that are waiting for us.

In the weeks preceding the New Moon, we are already listening, already engaged in an internal inquiry around what is true for us (Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio). New awarenesses, new messages surfacing helping us to connected dots that have seemed disparate or unrelated. (Mercury conjoined the New Moon).

We may be revisiting an insight we had downplayed, or we may be ready to see a new level and dimension to a truth we are already working with. Our mind is inclined to investigate, research, and penetrate the depths of a topic. Scorpio, a sign of transformation, compels us to understand what is transforming in our personal, professional and collective life, coupled with the desire for how to best assist the shifts that are already taking place.

We are at a turning point (Scorpio New Moon in aspect to all the outer planets). If we pull attention away from the world of light and let our attention illuminate the unseen realm of our inner world, we can sense, even name, the shift happening at the core of us. We may feel tired or drained from what the change is exacting of us.  But we can recognize and attune to a new energy, a new desire, a new freedom that is being cracked open as a result of the shift taking place.

A diver immersed in a blue vastness

And now here is my secret,

a very simple secret:

It is only with the heart

that one can see rightly;

what is essential

is invisible to the eye.

The Little Prince

Let our Feelings Guide the Movement

Water Grand Trine

Seven Planets in Water Signs (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter) along with the North Node

With a lot of planets in water signs

Our feelings are amplified.

The Water element flows through our feelings.

We are to connect with and trust

What is moving and meant to move in our lives.

We do this by making room for feelings that emerge-

Letting them wash over us,

And carry us to the insight, the treasure

That seeks to break through into our consciousness.

We thus dissolve the fears that fasten us to the past

And become more available to the future.

Jupiter in Cancer

We are likely contemplating something from our past,

that we are now seeing in a new way.

Feelings may overtake us

As the depths rise to be released.

There may be waves of emotions.

We are to honor our feelings, be fluid with them.

Let the feelings carry us towards a natural resolution,

that clears the debris so that the river

of our life, our dreams, our feelings

Flow smoothly and in better alignment

with our heart's desire.

Neptune and Saturn in Pisces

It is the time of big endings. It is the end of a cycle, an era

We are ready to say goodbye to something significant.

Something fundamental is shifting

Around who we are and what we value.

Neptune and Saturn are compelling us to release,

Habitual ways of living, Dreams that no longer hold promise,

and Commitments that are ready to get completed and closed out.

As we say goodbye, we may feel liberated.

We may feel the desire for something new emerging

As we energetically sync with our future self

That dawns with what will be introduced in 2026.

The North Node in Pisces

Helps us be attuned to the movements

Connected to the larger cycles unfolding for

Humanity, the World and our Soul's evolution.

By nurturing our relationship with the divine -

with the cyclical and perpetual nature of creation -

We will grow to trust the changes unfolding.

Recognizing that we are part of something

Much larger than our selves, we can accept

The changes, go with the flow,

And extend compassion towards ourself and others

As we, together, go through the transformations of this time.

So...

As we approach the Winter Solstice...

Let ourselves sit in the dark.

When the sun goes down,

Let us not turn on the lights.

Perhaps we light a candle

Or sit on the porch as dark descends.

The treasure that is waiting to be found, –

The solutions ,the releases, the awareness

Of what is next in our lives –

Lies in the depths of our being

Just waiting for us to shine the light of our attention on it.

We have only to quiet and listen

For it to come roaring through into our conscious awareness.

An illuminated cavern

It doesn't matter

if a cave has been in darkness

for 10,000 years or half an hour,

once you light a match

it is illuminated.

Paramahansa Yogananda

Time to Wake Up and Smell the Coffee

Uranus at Apex of the Kite and opposing the New Moon and Mercury

There may be sudden or surprising insights.

The insight might be disruptive

We are to trust the insight.

Look for it.  Sit with it.

Research it.  Not minimize it.

Uranus can be rebellious..the insight can disrupt.

We may be shocked awake.

Its not about being comfortable.

Its about waking up to a pattern that is changing,

Needs to change.

Stability may need shaking up  to accommodate the change.

To allow for energy, dreams, desires that have been trapped

To flow into our lives.

The Adventure is Within

New Moon Co-Ruler: Mars square the Nodal Axis

Mars, in Sagittarius, seeks adventure,

the chance to discover something it doesn't know.

Likewise, we are inspired to learn, to seek,

to go on a quest of some kind.

Mars’ square the nodal axis.

We are cautioned to not have our adventure

Shaped by logical planning and execution.

Rather than follow a map, we are take the road less traveled.

The most memorable times on a road trip

Often come when we spontaneously respond

To the sign that beckons us to see

The world’s largest ball of twine

Or eat at the diner that boasts the best barbecue.

Look for signs and messages that jump out at us.

Follow our intuition, and let our feelings

Guide us on this adventure

To deep truth and greater understanding.

Great treasure can be found this way.

We will most likely learn something that

Will change our life in a way

We longed to have it changed -

Even if we don't yet know it.

Welcome Change. It Cannot be Postponed.

New Moon Ruler: Pluto

at Apex of 2nd Kite Pattern with New Moon, Mercury, Neptune, oppose Jupiter

Pluto, the planet of death and rebirth, is the planet of Transformation.

In our natal chart, it illuminates the area of life

where we will experience our greatest loss and rebirth.

It represents our deep self.  It reflects our soul’s desire,

our deepest fears, our issues with power and powerlessness.

Pluto at the apex of a Kite Pattern

announces that this is not a typical November

in that the transformation and the insights available

May truly be life changing.

A previous version of ourselves is dying.

Like a snake,

an animal associated with Scorpio,

we are shedding a skin.

Through the course of 2025,

A year of endings and transitions,

We have been invited, coaxed,

even compelled to make changes

so we can be aligned with the changes

Happening within human culture.

There is no going back to the way it was.

We are invited to be like water,

Like a river flowing ever forward,

Leaving behind where we have been -

Freely, smoothly, dare I say joyously,

Letting ourself be drawn to the inevitable future.
