In the silence of love,
you will find
the spark of life.
Rumi

The New Moon on July 24, 2025, at 2° Leo stimulates love and the desire to create.
We can find the strength needed to pursue what inspires us. Listening to our intuition, when we have exhausted a rational analysis of our options, brings clarity on the direction to take. It is a transformational time, where we are letting go of possessions, beliefs, habits or attachments that once shaped our identity, so we can give a whole-hearted effort to re-inventing our life.

The New Moon is the optimal time each month to set an intention for what we want to see manifest over the next four weeks of the lunar cycle that is beginning. The 24-hour window after the exact moment of the New Moon, when the Moon is still dark and not visible in the night sky, is the optimal time each month to plant the intention for what we want to nurture and grow in the weeks that follow.
The house where the first degrees of Leo are located in our natal charts shows us the areas of life where we are ready to embark in a new direction that will offer us a new ways to express our love and create something that is a departure from how we have previously defined our life.

You have to find what sparks
a light in you so that
you in your own way...
illuminate the world.

Finding Our Place within A Time of Transformative Change
Small Grand Trine between Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto (2025 – 2028)
This rare harmonic alignment between the four transpersonal planets, not seen since 325 AD, affects collective and generational movements. On top of this, these planets have each just changed signs heralding revolutionary shifts happening within humanity. New paradigms of living and seeing the world are beginning to explode into human awareness.
New Moon interacts with the Small Grand Trine
Moon opposes Pluto, sextiles Uranus and trines Saturn/ Neptune
The Moon is subjective and tied to meeting our personal needs. In Leo, we want to develop or express our unique talents and passions, and look to ways we can fulfill our individual potential.
This is an especially dynamic New Moon because of its interactions with the outer planets. Attuned to the innovative, future-oriented potentials of the Small Grand Trine, we can be inspired and connect with how the larger collective movements happening dovetails with our personal evolutionary impulse. The New Moon offers initiatory energy, compelling us to grow, evolve, and look to how we can become a new version of ourselves.
Below is a breakdown of the Moon's engagement with the planets in the Small Grand Trine:
New Moon oppose Pluto. We are challenged to grow and expand our. There is intensity to the change being facilitated. We may feel we are in a power struggle with larger life forces. We are to rise above ourselves to grasp the bigger picture and, from this vantage point, discover the role we want to play within the transformative changes occurring within the collective.
The New Moon Sextile Uranus. Uranus is divine intelligence, the higher octave of Mercury (human intelligence). Uranus is infusing us with insight to help us remember what we came here to do. Curiosity is quickened and we desire to engage the unknown and learn something new. Change can happen quickly. The pace of daily life and interactions picks up. As we move through the rest of 2025, it benefits us to be adaptable. The Leo New Moon reminds us that if we listen to our heart, we will know when and how to pivot and flex, and how and where to direct our love.
New Moon Trine Neptune allows us to deepen our trust in the divine, the universal pulse of creation.
New Moon Trine Saturn helps us to ground, to stabilize what is newly flooding into our awareness. We may feel stronger within ourselves to handle the changes, the expanded perspective, and new directions opening to us.
New Moon Trine Neptune and Saturn (located at the apex, or focal point, of the Small Grand Trine). There is something big we each want, even need to create. Rather than simply being swept up in the larger collective movements of the year, we are to identify and commit to our own growth and desire to re-invent ourselves. There is something we are preparing to fight for. While it is a personal stand we are preparing to take, we are to recognize how it is also tied in with the transformative changes happening for humanity. With Saturn and Neptune Retrograde the next few months, we are encouraged to take time to work out ideas and options that have presented themselves.

The tendency of fire is to go out;
watch the fire
on the altar of your heart.
Anyone who has tended
a fireplace fire knows
that it needs to be
stirred up occasionally.

Speak from the Heart
Mercury Retrograde until august 11
Mercury, like the New Moon, is in Leo.
Mercury = Thoughts and Communication
Leo = The Heart, Joy and Love
Mercury Retrograde in Leo + reflecting on how to better speak from our heart.
We may find ourselves contemplating ways we edit ourselves, become inhibited, or keep our love protected from potential threat. We are exploring how we can be more authentic and share more of ourselves - especially our big ideas. The Mercury Retrograde supports the New Moon Invitation by having us take a step back to identify what truly inspires us and to shape our life to magnify the love and desire and joy that is evoked when we engage the object of our inspiration.
Let the Head Serve the Heart
Venus square the Mars, South Node Conjunction
We are wrestling with something; endlessly assessing options, factors and information; trying to figure something out (both Mars and Venus in signs ruled by Mercury). We are trying to get control of something is evading us. The release, the answer, the way forward will not be found through a mental process but by listening to our heart and trusting the intuitive guidance we receive (Pisces North Node). We are to let the mind be the servant of the heart. Rather than be the source of the inspiration or direction, the mind can focus on the logistics, planning and timelines needed to fulfill what inspires the heart.
Heal and Strengthen to Release
Chiron at apex of T Square with Pluto and the New Moon
Amid the transformative changes happening, our ego is threatened (Pluto oppose the Moon). There is a paradox here in the need to strengthen the ego and also release ourselves from it. We are being asked to let go of attachments or identifications we have assigned to ourself, and move beyond the illusion of our separateness from everything around us. And yet, for many of us, our ego was damaged in childhood, and we are still in a process to heal, repair, or reinforce our ego so we can function in a healthy and balanced way. We may find that as we feel stronger in ourselves, there is less a need to defend or protect. We may have outgrown boundaries we created to ensure that we felt safe and respected. As we feel more confident, there is less of a need to hide, escape or make excuses. We are rebuilding our ego, not so we can enjoy it, but so we can at last release ourselves from it. And in this, we find how we will live in the new world emerging.
