If you want a relaxed body,
you can do it
by relaxing your mind.
If you want a relaxed mind,
relax your body.

The Total Lunar Eclipse
on March 3, 2026 at 13° Virgo
highlights practical changes in our daily life.
There are timely actions to take in how we care for ourselves and how we work. We may be elect to changes something in our mental diet (the media, information and conversations we engage) and in how we use our mind. This is an optimal moment to break free from patterns of overthinking, overanalyzing, and needing to understand all the particulars, and instead look for ways to streamline schedules, simplify routines, and loosen our need to control an outcome. The space this opens within us will make more room for our feelings and intuition to support and guide us.
With the stress, complexity and pace of life in 2026, it can feel exhausting to think about adding one more task or making another change in how we cope or care for ourselves. The focus doesn’t need to be on doing more. It can be on what will give our mind or body a rest. We can look for activities or practices that relax and calm, and once in place they will naturally loosen troubling habits or conditions that inflame, numb, or drain vitality.

A Lunar Eclipse signals that we have arrived at a crucial crossroad, a breaking point. The resolution or closure of something in our lives is accelerated. Permanent changes and shifts are catalyzed that compel us to do something different so we can move forward. Eclipse energies unfold for up to six months after the eclipse.
A South Node Eclipse stimulates the karmic past to be resolved. Endings are purposeful and final. In Virgo, the eclipse points to potential changes in our work: our responsibilities, the nature of our work or in how we approach our work. The Virgo eclipse may illuminate health conditions or imbalances and have us feel motivated to shift something in our daily routines or seek professional help to resolve something that concerns us.
The house where 13° Virgo resides in our individual birth chart reveals the area of life where we are to initiate a new routine or make a change that will enhance our well-being. Some way of operating that causes stress or imbalance is to be released as part of this process. if we have natal planets between 5 and 21° Virgo or between 11 and 15° of a mutable sign (Virgo, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius) we can expect to feel the eclipse with greater intensity which will compel a significant shift in our life.

Out of clutter, find simplicity.
From disorder, find harmony.
In the middle of difficulty
lies opportunity.

Rest is Integral to Achieving Balance, Restoration and Clarity
Virgo/Pisces Polarity conjunct the Nodal Axis at the Virgo Lunar Eclipse
In the 21st century, we strive to digest, adapt and keep up with the rapid changes in our collective and personal lives, but no matter how well we are each doing with this, it is exacting a toll. No generation before us has absorbed new information, experienced change or moved as fast as we are today. In the 1980s, an anthropologist wrote an article stating that those of us living in the latter half of the 20th century consumed more information in a year than our grandparents did over the course of a decade and the amount of change a person living in the 1980s experienced in a decade, their ancestors experienced over a lifetime.
The anthropologist made this claim just as computers were being newly integrated into offices, the internet was in its infancy, cell phones were still a dream, and one news report of a shocking event was discussed for months - not mere hours before the next shocking news entered public awareness. Since that time, we have only experienced an exponential acceleration of the phenomenon he was addressing.
We live in a time unprecedented in human history - a grand experiment if you will - where human beings are compelled to absorb and rapidly adapt to an ever-changing, complex world that has figured out how to enter our homes, our minds, our daily conversations and relationship as it continually streams new information, technological advancements and changes to contemplate. Setting aside climate change, political and social unrest, and the advent of AI, the human system is being tested to see how fast it can process data, make decisions, handle complexity and keep pace of a technologically-driven life before it experiences breakdown.
The propensity for overstimulation, uncertainty and overwhelm is high. There is a collective exhaustion as we together grieve a share dream that continues to disintegrate, adapt to the shifting sands of culture (multiple planets in Pisces), and prepare for a future that promises to be a departure from what we have known (Saturn/Neptune in Aries). As the Lunar Eclipse compels us to make key changes in our daily habits to enhance our wellbeing, we may very well need to first deal with our accumulated exhaustion and grief (multiple planets in Pisces).
Step One. Build in Rest and Relaxation into our daily routine. In 20st century living the drive to be ever-productive can push relaxation or unstructured time to the sidelines... or to next week. We ae to give ourselves permission to take a nap or sleep in as much as we need right now. Next month there may not be the same permission and so catch up now. As 2026 moves forward we may feel that the pace of life and changes and information are speeding up and we will feel a continual demand to adapt and keep up . Riding the wave of the Virgo Lunar Eclipse, let us engage in a revolutionary and necessary action of building a new lifestyle practice (in diet, exercise, sleep, self-care, work and/or play habits) that relax, calm and restore us. We will be ever so grateful for doing this in the months to come.
If our body has forgotten how to relax enough to sit quietly or experience a good night’s sleep, than we are to find a practice that supports a movement towards relaxation. We may look to cleanse or detoxify our body and mind, to clear out what gunks up natural functioning. Much of what we do in our culture promotes for relaxation actually inflames or overstimulates (i.e, scrolling on our devices, binge watching TV, consuming sugar or caffeine…).
I wish they had time to watch the clouds, my Mother said in response to being asked what she had in her childhood that her grandchildren did not and wished they could have. In tapping into what has been lost in the pace of modern life and values, we can build into our lives the equivalent to watching clouds. We can think of what our grandparents or their grandparents did -- sitting on the porch, stargazing, spending the night around a fire...activities that do not include getting something done but rather focus on being present, relaxing, and connecting to something that happens when we still ourselves. This type of activity can help restore balance and well-being.
Finding and consistently practicing what relaxes us will strengthen the mind–body connection. It creates space for the intuitive clarity about what truly deserves our attention and the key changes needed to support our health and well‑being. It also helps us stop spending energy on things we can’t control and redirect it toward the simple, practical areas where our actions can make a difference. With relaxation as a value, we can identify the few meaningful changes we are ready to make that will nurture and increase wellness in our daily life.

Take care of your body.
It’s the only place
you have to live.

The Virgo Lunar Eclipse will likely induce change in one of three areas:
Our physical health. Virgo is the sign of physical health and favors cleansing and detoxifying. We may feel motivated to fast, simplify our diet or go through a detoxifying protocol. A physical condition may surface that points us to an area of imbalance that needs our attention.
Focus is drawn to patterns of self care that we habitually choose that help us self-soothe or cope, but in fact are robbing us of vitality. It may be timely to make a change in our diet, bedtime rituals, exercise routine, and habits we engage in our 'down time'. We make look to changing our daily/weekly schedule for better work/life balance. It is best to not make sweeping changes as we are wanting to avoid creating added stress on ourselves. We are to discern what one or two things we can do that can make the biggest difference.
Our work. The nature of our work or how we work may be asking us to change. Responsibilities we hold may change. How we approach our work may change. How we define the idea of responsibility and what we elect to be responsible for may change. How the nature of our work changes may very well be in response to collective movements.
The Eclipse may point to an accelerated integration of AI into the workplace, communications and industry which will influence our work life. To keep up with current trends, we may find ourselves looking for a new job, revamping the work we do, or needing to adapt to changes our employer implements.
Our Thinking Processes. The Virgo Moon, illuminates our analytical, methodical, and discerning mind, compelling us to find ways to reduce the mental stress or distress we are enduring on a regular basis. It is timely to reduce tendencies of wanting to get things perfect or right. Judgmental tendencies can be softened by a practice of acceptance. Digestive issues, worry or insomnia can point to the need to root out a pattern of overthinking, overanalyzing and trying to control outcomes. We may need to admit that our mind has limitations in its capacity to understand everything and have the answers; its time to give equal space for listening to our feelings, trusting our intuition. In some ways, the overactive, overreaching mind can find balance through recitation of the Serenity prayer.
Our Rational Mind is Limited in its Capacity to Meet the Need
Lunar Eclipse Ruler: Mercury Retrograde in Pisces conjunct Venus
Our rational mind is not functioning optimally. With Mercury in Pisces we are attuned to other modes of thinking to produce clarity. Our mind is absorbed in sensations, intuition, feelings and where our daydreams carry us. There is more to be gained from a dream we have at night than from looking at a spreadsheet. To adapt and discern where to direct our attention and resources, we need to draw on more than logic and rationale. We are looking to feel, to sense the movement forward, like a sailor sense the movement of the sea an which way the wind is blowing.
Mercury Retrograde (February 26 - March 20) beckons us to take a step back, to re-evaluate and regroup. There are new opportunities and ones that have dried up. We are needing time to discern how to complete what no longer promises to bear fruit and how to best move forward with future plans. March 7, 2026 Mercury disappears into the heart of the Sun, and our minds are illuminated. This is called the Cazimi point of the Mercury Retrograde, where we can have new insight into the dreams, plans and changes we are contemplating. there is value in taking time over the next few weeks to gather more information, have more conversations and tweak plans before signing on the dotted line or fully launching a new course of action.

Wellness, I came to realize,
will not happen by accident.
It must be a daily practice,
especially for those susceptible
to the world’s oppressiveness.

Tapping into Ancestral Wisdom
Jupiter trine the Eclipsing Sun and Mercury
Jupiter provides growth and in Cancer (June 2025 to June 2026) there is growth in our awareness and validation of our feelings and needs. Retrograde the last four months and stationing direct on March 10, 2026, Jupiter is moving slowly and with more consideration.
Jupiter's enhances the Piscean eclipse dynamics, enhancing our capacity for hearing the wisdom within our feeling nature. As Cancer is the sign of Mother, family, and lineage, Jupiter is drawing attention to our childhood memories and our ancestors. There are patterns our family modeled around self care that we are unraveling. There is also be wisdom passed down through our family that we can claim for ourselves.
We are being given ample permission to attune to the pace and practices of our early ancestors for how to move through daily life in a balanced way. By slowing down enough to stay connected to our body and feelings, we rediscover a spaciousness, a deepened connection to nature, the earth and all we engage. If we slow down enough to listen, receive, watch clouds, move at a pace that does not compromise relaxation or our mind/body connection, then the Virgo Moon invitation can gently and assuredly bring our attention to what we are to release and what needs our care.
Collective Initiation
Saturn and Neptune in Aries
Each outer planet is arriving in a new sign. The door to the future has been flung open with Saturn and Neptune occupying 0° Aries, Creation Point of the Zodiac. We are participating in a collective initiation marked by awakenings and shock, rebellion and revolution, accompanied by big endings and big beginnings. This all will come in waves... wave after wave. The Lunar Eclipse reminds us to take care of what we can – our body, our mind, our work our day...what is right in front of us day after day. It reminds us that we need to rely on more than our rational mind to navigate decisions and the unchartered territory we are traversing as individuals and as collective. We will need to draw from our feelings, our intuition, and the guidance of our heart. It is prudent to take time now to rest, to balance, to restore, and to establish a mind body connection to move forward in a good way.
March 6, 2026, Venus moves into Aries, arriving at the Creation Point, and conjoins Neptune and Saturn. Our desire for the future is ignited. Passion for what we want to create increases. Come April, the Sun then Mars and Mercury arrive in Aries and at the Creation Point of the sky. We will be propelled into taking resolute, bold actions that move our life forward. To have this be a fruitful time, let us fully embrace the opportunity at the Virgo Lunar Eclipse to give attention to the details of of our daily life and instill practices that rest and restore us.
