Aquarius Full Moon: Find your Wings

You were born with potential.

You were born with goodness

and trust. You were born

with ideals and dreams.

You were born with wings.

You are not meant for crawling,

so don’t. You have wings.

Learn to use them and fly.

Your legs will get heavy and tired.

Then comes a moment of feeling

the wings you've grown, lifting.

The Full Moon on July 29, 2026, at 6° Aquarius

reveals a deeper purpose that arises from our heart and then stirs awake fears and power struggles. The amplification of our light thus casts and draws out what lurks in the shadow.

There is a heightened awareness of who we are, what we are about and how we can serve our changing world. To embrace a fuller version of ourselves and the role we are to play, we must face our insecurities, fears and personal demons.

It is less about abolishing our flaws and deficiencies and more about having the courage to hold and not deflect the light and the dark that lives within ourselves and in our world. It is a time of inspiration and courage, where we accept the invitation to step up, and become all we were born to be.

Full Moons mark the peak of the lunar cycle. There is a momentum and pressure that comes to a head and is experienced as crisis, clarity or breakthrough which can lead to resolution. The two weeks following a Full Moon, we complete the month's journey and distilling the wisdom of the recent lunar cycle, so we are ready for the invitation that is presented with the next New Moon.

The house where 6° Aquarius resides in our natal chart indicates the area of life where we are to meet our fears and embrace the larger or more expanded role we are to play in the unfolding story our our personal journey and as it interfaces with the evolutionary journey of humanity.

Be as a bird perched on a frail branch

that she feels bending beneath her,

still she sings away all the same,

knowing she has wings.

The Innovations and Solutions Introduced to the World in the Next Years are being Conceived and Incubated Now

The current Cradle configuration is an extremely rare and potent astrological alignment involving the outer planets (Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto). When we draw a line between the location where each of the planets inhabit in the night sky, we create the outlines of a cradle. Cradles are built to hold and protect newborns. Similarly, this year has produced newborn ideas and dreams that we are looking to protect, nurture and grow.

I also see a Crucible in this configuration, a container that holds and catalyzes transformation. It serves to incubate and hold heightened awareness, expansive thinking, new perspectives and unparalleled inspiration. Yet to receive the gifts of what it offers, we need to dissolve or crack open rigid thinking and outworn patterns of living that reinforce and strengthen a reality that is already dying.

Fulfilling Our Personal Potential is not the Goal, But a Means to an End

The Full Moon conjoins and enhances The Cradle Configuration, activating its deepest potential within each of us. There is an increased capacity to see things from a vaster perspective and arrive at a newfound understanding of how our individual journey interfaces with the transformative changes occurring within the collective. Our heart will illuminate and guide our way forward (Sun/Jupiter in Leo) while we move within the understanding that we are intrinsically connected to and in service to a movement that is larger than our personal lives (Moon/Pluto in Aquarius).

On its own, The Leo/Aquarius polarity is the innate tension between the individual and the collective. The Aquarian Moon reminds us that we are part of a collective and that we all in some measure serve and are served by the larger community. The Leo Sun puts us in touch with our heart’s desire, with what we love, and what we want to create for ourselves. To resolve the tension between these two impulses is to validate how we want to fulfill our personal potential in a way that will also benefit the larger community.

The Full Moon themes continue with August's Leo Solar Eclipse, Jupiter in Leo for the next year, Pluto remaining in Aquarius, and an 18-month growth period that is staring next months as the Lunar North Node arrives in Aquarius and the South Node in Leo.

Jupiter in Leo encourages us to further clarify and deepen our understanding of our personal life purpose, to express what is in our heart, to follow our creative impulse, and to let ourselves be seen. But the South Node in Leo will urge us to let go of egocentric thinking and behaviors. There will be little juice for living life for ourselves, ignoring the world and simply building up our own career or reputation. Self-empowerment, self-discovery and building up our resume is not the goal, but a means to something more. We must consider what we serve, how our actions will be received, and recognize our place and the part we play within human society and community. Those motivated primarily by self-interest may come into troubles or experience a fall from grace in the coming year.

I am only one, but

I am one. I cannot

do everything, but

I can do something.

And I will not let

what I cannot do

interfere with what

I can do.

Redrawing Criteria for Forming Alliances

Moon Conjunct Pluto in Aquarius.

Emotional intensity points to fears we have around collaboration, working with community, and different groups we are part of. Aquarius asks us to not go it alone but to join forces with others. The hidden and secretive nature of Pluto is lit up by the Moon and shines a light on secret societies, mystery schools, underworld organizations, data collecting and surveillance systems.

Fears around our interacting with groups or society are illuminated. Chances are we each have experiences of working in organizations and groups that left us wanting to go it alone or feeling shy about diving into collaboratory work with others. We may need to come to terms with how we set ourselves apart. There may be something we may repressed or held secret that is coming to the surface to be discussed or integrated.

And it is beneficial to review friendships, social networks, online circles or group chats, clubs or organizations we currently interface and look at our intentions for connecting with others. We are to evaluate how these connections support or don't support who we want to be.

.

We may suddenly see hidden intentions and motivations within some group that reveal dynamics or agendas that run counter to what the group promotes or presents on the surface. It may be timely to break away from unhealthy friendships or communities. This will open the way to new connections, new collaborations that are a better match for what we are wanting to bring into the world.

Relationships may change. We may growing apart in certain partnerships and find that we are simply moving in different directions. Rather than remaining loyal to a person or group, we are asked to align with our heart's desire (Sun, Jupiter in Leo).

Deep patterns in relationships are being revealed. We are letting go of people that are not supportive or keep us small. The truths we are seeing may be uncomfortable but if we let go of what holds us back, there are new vistas, new solutions and new opportunities that are likely to emerge in the space that opens up.

The Aquarius Moon interfaces with all the outer planets except Saturn (trines Uranus, sextiles Neptune, conjoins Pluto, squares Chiron opposes Jupiter). While the Aquarian Moon has us seeking objectivity and far-reaching vision, this may take a minute to find as we are being fed by forces larger than what we can readily comprehend. Because the Moon is what is most personal to us, we may feel overwhelmed trying to integrate and get clarity on all the input we are receiving and feeling. We have access to our deepest feelings, those that inspire and those that deflate. We have access to new understandings and flashes of insight that awaken us to larger truths. And our intuitive and creative channels are accentuated. Emotionally we are synthesizing a lot of input that ultimately seeks to shift our identity - how we define our life and our relationship to everything happening around us. We are being pushed to see new directions, new options and to move in a new way. With the Aquarian Moon, we feel compelled to move through and integrate the intensity and complexity to arrive at new definitions for what we are feeling and seeing.

Run my dear,

From anything

That may not strengthen

Your precious

Time of Awakening

Full Moon Ruler: Uranus

Revolutionary energies have been growing, evolving, and gaining momentum. Uranus' role in this time of transformative change is to provides the sudden shifts, unexpected events, and awakenings that sweeps away the old and catalyzes a sudden leap forward.

Uranus is the Bringer of Sudden Change; in Gemini, Uranus looks to suddenly change our minds – the mental framework in which we perceive, understand and make sense of things. We may come face to face with our blind spots, taking a look at what is sinking and not serving us. We will perceive more clearly what is holding us back or how our thinking is not congruous with our ideals.

It benefits us to take part in discussions around new and big topics. There may be new communication avenues or systems we can embrace as we collaborate and work with others.

Who's to say the effort to be real isn't the beginning of wings? Mark Nepo

We are to make room for the unexpected. We are less in control than usual, but Uranus is not about knocking us off balance for not reason. The surprises it delivers serve to break us out outdated patterns or attachments that are stifling us. We can be curious as to what the forces of the universe are guiding us to see within the accidental encounters, surprise communications, or unexpected events that seemingly disrupt our day. While our initial response may be to feel put out, we are to look for the gift being presented. There is an opportunity, a new awareness, a new connection, a shift in understanding that may result.

As Ruler of the Full Moon, Uranus’ presence is further heightened with the many alignments it makes at the Full Moon (at the apex of small grand trine with Neptune and Sun/Jupiter conjunction, is trine the Moon/Pluto conjunction and is square the Nodal Axis).

Uranus is the Awakener and we could go into the energetics of each of it current alignments (listed above), but that feels laborious when we can boil it all down to mean that it is a time of Awakening.

Uranus is the Higher Mind - the Divine or Universal Mind - while Mercury is our personal mind. Uranus is the Awakener because when it engages us, it opens our mind to something larger than we could ever perceive on our own. Ultimately, the Full Moon is about letting ourselves be awakened. So, let us:

Awaken to our individual potential and purpose.

Awaken to the inspiration and new ways of thinking wanting to enter our awareness

Awaken to the fears that keep us inhibited or block our way forward.

Awaken to the groups or people that do not support us in being or becoming who we are.

Awaken to how the world is changing and the role we are to play within this.

Awaken to the love in our heart and what we are called to love into being.

Let our minds and our hearts be awakened by the light and potency of the Full Moon.
